Controller
General Description
The Controller of the Centre is responsible for the financial reporting and control of assets. The Controller is a member of the management team and as such, assists in the formulation and implementation of policy and procedures for the Centre.
Roles
- Member Service
Ensures that positive and professional service is provided to all members and prospective members - Financial Reporting and Asset Control
Ensures the accurate reporting of financial results and the protection of company assets
Maintains the general ledger and all related functions
Ensure that the member management system contains accurate membership data
Play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting process - Member of the Management Team
Contributes to decisions regarding problem solving, policies and procedures
Assumes management responsibility as required - MIS Support
Provides first-line support for the Centre's information systems and shares system knowledge with other employees

General Description
The Coordinator, Group Classes is responsible for ensuring the implementation of a quality Group Exercise Program.

Coordinator, Personal Training
General Description
The Personal Training Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality personal training services for members. They are also responsible for implementing a comprehensive New Member Integration process at the Center, and ensuring the implementation of a quality fitness assessment and program consulting experience, with a focus on selling personal training services.
The Coordinator, Personal Training is also responsible for the achievement of individual and team sales targets for the Personal Training Services.

Fitness Consultant
General Description
The Fitness Consultant is responsible for implementing member fitness appraisals, conducting the follow-up program consultations, and advising members about the Centre's program offerings. The Consultant also supervises the Exercise Areas, as directed; and is responsible for achieving their individual sales targets for Personal Training Services.

Lifeguard
General Description
The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safe supervision of the pool(s) and aquatic area during assigned hours.

General Description

General Description

General Description

Group Exercise Coordinator
General Description
The primary focus of this role is to manage the Group Exercise Class Program ensuring that it meets the varying needs of the members and the client. The coordinator is also responsible for assisting with the effective and efficient operation of the Centre and its programs.

General Description
Reporting directly to the Account Manager; the Program Manager is responsible for assisting with the operation of the facility on a day to day basis ensuring that specific program outcomes are achieved; and all operations and programs meet HSG’s standards and the needs of the client and members.

Part-Time Fitness Programmer/ Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer
Part-Time Fitness Programmer/ Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer - 15 hours/week
Commences: Mid January 2012
Fitness Services
- Provide safe, high calibre technically sound, and strong fitness classes
- Perform scheduled Fitness Consultations, Fitness Appraisals and Program Demonstration
- Provide personal training services as required
- Provide support to members in the advancement of their work-outs
- Monitor client progression through personal contact on the fitness floor, review of programs and follow-up procedures
- Ensure new members receive a Fitness Consultation
- Ensure members follow the rules of the fitness centre
Fitness Administration
- Provide support to the development and implementation of Fitness programs and events
- Manage health promotion projects such as bulletin boards, newsletter, member handouts, and other educational material
- Assist the Manager with ongoing projects
- Complete appropriate tracking and reporting activities (stats, attendance, program use, etc.)
- Promote all fitness centre services, i.e. personal training, consults, classes, etc.
Customer Service
- Ensure all members and guest are serviced in a positive and professional manner
Requirements
- Certified Personal Trainer Certification (CSEP CPT)
- Certified Fitness Instructor Certification (Can-Fit Pro or other )
- Certified in CPR, First Aid and AED
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
Recommendations
- University degree or College Diploma in Fitness and Wellness
- Minimum 1 year experience in Group Exercise Instruction, Personal Training and Fitness Consulting/Appraising
