General Description

The Controller of the Centre is responsible for the financial reporting and control of assets. The Controller is a member of the management team and as such, assists in the formulation and implementation of policy and procedures for the Centre.

General Description

The Personal Training Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality personal training services for members. General Description

The primary focus of this role is to manage the Group Exercise Class Program ensuring that it meets the varying needs of the members and the client. The coordinator is also responsible for assisting with the effective and efficient operation of the Centre and its programs.

HSG Health Systems Group Limited currently has an opening for a Full-Time Fitness Consultant (with some Personal Training) in Calgary, Alberta.

Western Canadian Place, located in downtown Calgary www.westerncanadianplace.com is home to the WCP Fitness Centre www.wcpfitness.ab.ca an 18,500 sq. ft. corporate fitness center with 1,300 members, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, Personal Training studio, two group exercise class studios and three international squash courts.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Hours: This is a full-time HSG position, 30-37.5 hr/wk (negotiable) plus Personal Training hours and HSG health benefits plan.
  • Floor Supervision: assist members with the safe, efficient use of exercise equipment.
  • Personal Training: conduct individual or group sessions in our PT studio and the fitness areas.

Description of Responsibilities:

Fitness Services

  • Perform scheduled Fitness Consultations and Fitness Appraisals.
  • Supervise the Fitness Centre exercise area by maintaining a good rapport with members, overseeing proper use of the equipment and providing a quality environment.
  • Provide support to members in the advancement of their work-outs.
  • Provide instruction to members on proper exercise techniques and safe work-outs.

6. Part-Time Fitness Consultant, Toronto, Ontario

HSG Health Systems Group Limited currently has an opening for a Part-Time Fitness Consultant at the Rogers – Mount Pleasant Club in downtown Toronto.  The Centre is 10,000 sq. ft. and has 2,200 members. Three full-time, three part-time staff and three personal trainers as well as several contract and volunteer instructors are responsible for the programs, services, administration and operations.

The MPC is looking to fill 11-15 hours per week ASAP. Compensation for this position is $14/ hour.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Experience in fitness programming, blood pressure readings are required
  • A strong interest in group exercise is an asset.

Qualifications:

Roles & Responsibilities

The Return to Work Coordinator role is responsible for ensuring the effective and safe return of injured CN employees back to work, and for ensuring the programs and services meet the varying needs of the employees as well as the needs of the client, CN Rail. 

Roles- Return to Work Coordinator 

1. Return to Work Services

To ensure that all employees accessing the Return to Work Program are serviced in a positive and professional manner.

To ensure all programs are tailored to each individual’s physical ability and any special needs.

2. Administration & Communication

Ensure the effective management of all Return to Work records and employee profiles. Work closely with the RTW Coordinator, Risk Management Officers, CN Supervisors and Medical Personnel as required.

3. Fitness and Back Education Programs

Participate in the development and delivery of health promotion programs locally and in conjunction with overall divisional activities.

4. Client Liaison

Ensure a positive and open relationship with the client, Risk Management Team and the employees.

5. Ergonomics Assessments

As requested, provide ergonomics assessments for CN Rail office staff.

Preferred Hiring Criteria

Experience in Physical Demands Analysis, Return to Work with excellent problem solving skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with union and management personnel

  • Self starting proactive individual who can work well independently and in a team environment
  • Strong PC and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel periodically
